Highway accident in Orange kills one, injures another

Automotive safety technology has advanced to the point of people in Hartford realistically expecting that they will likely be able to walk away from any accident that they are involved in. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Those who die in car accidents likely leave behind a tremendous void, particularly in the lives of those that relied upon them for emotional and financial support. While nothing can truly compensate for such a loss, the families of auto accident victims may be left with little choice but to pursue legal action against the drivers that caused the accidents that affected them.

A recent accident that occurred on State Route 15 on Orange illustrates just as how easily an accident can claim a life. A man traveling along the highway was killed after colliding with a vehicle that swerved over from the oncoming lane. The man’s car rolled down an embankment, during which he was ejected. The driver of the other vehicle was also partially ejected. However, it was reported that her injuries were not life-threatening.

While law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate the accident, it was reported that the woman involved had been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to losing control of her vehicle. While those operating vehicles in a similar manner likely have no intention of causing harm to anyone, their recklessness may be difficult to overlook if they actually do. In such a case, the families of victims may feel justified in seeking compensation to help meet the expenses associated with their loved ones’ deaths and to assist in coping with their own pain and suffering. Those seeking such compensation may wish to enlist the help of an attorney to assist with their cases.
