Tractor Trailer Accident causes 50 Car Pileup

Clearfield County Pennsylvania, WPXI reports two tractor- trailers jackknifed on Interstate 80 causing a 25 car pileup on February 10, 2010. One person was killed in the chain-reaction crash and 18 others were injured as a result of this highway car vs. truck accident.   A second pile up occurred two miles back as cars began to slow for the car wreck.                                                                                       It was reported that thirty tractor-trailers, and twenty other motor vehicles were involved in the pileup, which closed part of the Interstate between the Penfield and Clearfield Pa.
The National Weather Service says moderate snowfall was falling in nearby Clearfield at the time of the pileups. There was a half-mile of visibility.
My heart goes out to the family and friends involved in this highway  accident.

An Experienced Injury Lawyer Can Help

Those involved in this highway car accident would be well-advised to retain the services of an experienced  personal injury lawyer, who will stay on top of the investigation and make sure their legal rights and best interests are protected. A knowledgeable car accident lawyer will also be able to tell the victims how their car insurance policy applies to an accident involving numerous vehicles.
