Our Clients are the heart and soul of our practice.   Our Connecticut personal injury practice is devoted exclusively to the representation of injured persons and their families. The philosophy at McCoy and McCoy is different from that of other law firms.  At McCoy & McCoy we do not take a lot of cases.  If you do not need an attorney, we will tell you. We choose to limit our practice to only cases where people are seriously injured and which we feel are meritorious. We believe in a no nonsense approach to legal services.  We do not represent insurance companies, corporations or governmental agencies and never will.  Because of that, we have an exclusive sense of loyalty to our clients and the unique needs that injured people have. 

When one of our clients is seriously injured, we take it personally.  We know it can devastate their life in many ways. This includes not only the physical injuries, but it also includes their ability to earn a living for themselves and their family. A serious injury affects the whole family. Everyone in the family has been injured in a sense.

Attorney Frank McCoy has been awarded by The National Board of Trial Advocacy a certification as a specialist in civil trial advocacy. This board certification is only awarded to attorneys who have a proven record of trial experience, legal knowledge in Personal Injury law, Medical Malpractice, Products Liability and/or Evidence. In addition all certified attorneys must have a demonstrated record of honest and ethical behavior verified by Superior Court judges and other practicing attorneys.

In Connecticut, less than ½ of 1 percent  of the registered attorneys have been awarded such a distinction.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

McCoy & McCoy has been active in community service activities for over 40 years. Attorney Frank J. McCoy, Sr.  was Mayor of Vernon, Connecticut for 4 terms and  President of the Connecticut Conference of Mayors. In 1960, Attorney McCoy founded the Vernon Midget Football league. This was the local youth football league that graduated many future college and NFL stars such as Bill Romanowski. In 1965, Frank McCoy founded and sponsored the semi pro baseball team, the Vernon Orioles. This sponsorship continues today. For his dedicated service , Attorney McCoy was awarded the first good guy award given by the Connecticut  Sports writers Association.  Attorney McCoy’s grandson, Jason L. McCoy is currently the Mayor of Vernon, making it a 3rd generation of Vernon, Connecticut Mayors.

McCoy & McCoy has always honored our veterans. In Connecticut, veterans of the military, who served in war time may be eligible for financial assistance through the Soldier Sailors, Marine fund. Attorney McCoy and the offices of McCoy & McCoy has served as service officer helping qualified veterans in need of assistance.
