Hit-and-Run Connecticut Car Accident

2/10/10; The Hour reports that a city man is facing a motor vehicle charge for his involvement in a Connectciut hit and run car accident Monday night.  After striking a pedestrian with his vehicle, the man then falsely claimed that his car had been hijacked and that he was not responsible for the Connecticut hit and run accident.

Rodney Moorer, was charged with evading responsibility, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 18.

The victim was taken to Norwalk Hospital and treated for minor injuries, police said.

Eventually, Moorer admitted that he was driving the car which struck the pedestrian causing the Connecticut hit and run accident.   Police said he panicked and created the carjacking story.
